TECHTALK #32:
UCP VS. BUDDHISM

I've been greatly influenced by Buddhism, and
I've been comparing UCP with Buddhism today.

The essential similarity is that both are
SELF-IMPROVEMENT TECHNIQUES.

Neither is an appeal to "god", or ANY outside
sources to handle your own universe for you.

BOTH ARE BASED ON LOOKING.

In both subjects "The Teachings" are
merely the instruction book on how to
ask the questions, NOT the Book of
Answers, which you must write yourself.

The DIFFERENCES are quite interesting.

UCP is like Buddhism . . . without the Buddha.

Buddha's personality is NOT what
Buddhism is all about at all, it's his
TEACHINGS, and his techings were
NOT The Answers, but the Instruction
Manual on How to Ask the Questions.

But he didn't have an internet, so the
only way to spread the instruction manual
was by word of mouth from those who
may or may not have gotten serious
case gain, and were misduplicating
his thoughts and intentions automatically.

He had no written record, so he had to
make the same teachings over and over.

When he died, there was NO ONE who
had achieved what he had, so there
was no one to keep the teachings live,
. . . and there was no written record.

So the instructions he gave, whatever
they might actually have been, have
been differently recorded and many
different schools have evolved with
many different PRACTICES, and people
are all FIGURE-FIGURING on what they
THINK that The Buddha MIGHT have said.

We really DON'T KNOW
what the Buddha SAID.

In UCP the INSTRUCTION MAN*UAL
IS *NOT* A MAN, but a Virtual Digital
Instruction Manual accessible online
without any priest's blessing, BUT we
also have a community of laypersons,
and a few prophets too :-), to respond
from their actual live experience of UCP,
so we have BOTH methods of teaching.

UCP HAS ELIMINATED THE BUDDHA!

Here we have a situation where people
are interracting with the instruction
manual in a free eternal public forum.

We have the public record of the
instruction manual, and we have
a public record that the process
works if done according to the
manual, and we have a real time
on line community of those
who have been through at least
some of the territory to the talk
the newbies through the same
old stuff again welcome home.

The Community of Witnesses
of, to, and for UCP is growing.

Because we have an Instruction Manual
that has DEMONSTRATED that it *DOES*
make Relative Bhodhi-Sattvas, we have
Eliminated the Buddha BY CLONING HIM!
