TECHTALK #31:
SESSIONS WITH SCORPIO

[21 DEC 2000]

Dear Lurker:

I've had several very scintilating conversations with
Scorpio lately, including a 3 hour UCP session, and
some very interesting things have come into view.

One thing I've been looking at is my own stalled
tone level progress.  I've been bouncing around
in the 0 to 4 range for many years now.  I've been
mostly in the 2 to 4 range lately, but I haven't
been able to get up above 4 and stay there, making
more steady progress.  I saw the same thing in my
recent co-auditor, who ZOOMED up the tone scale
and passed me by, but also stalled out somewhere in the
3 or 4 range, and is taking a break from UCP right now.

several other people local to him since this was written.]

Sure we got up to 5 or 6 sometimes, but that's not the
theme of the session and we don't stay there.  Sure,
in limited areas of life I am at AESTHETICS or even
KNOW and CREATE, but my overall tone on my life
as a whole has crept up from 1 to 2 and even 3 in the
last couple of years, but I havn't gotten THROUGH 4.
[10 FEB 2001, I've also blown through that barrier now.]

And I don't know anyone else who has made it THROUGH
Tone 4 with UCP, *EXCEPT* SCORPIO and MUDRUNNER,
who seem to be residing stably in AESTHETICS above +6.

We DO have the illuminating example of the below minus
20 crowd who tell us they have done AM or BM or UCP
SOLO and are totally complete, caseless, and far above
tone 40 on the tone scale.  We also see that these same
people are incapable of making real lasting gains EVEN
*WITH* Witnessing, so it is NO surprise that all they are
doing solo is playing with their hallucinations, and their
so-called "gains" are just more psychotic hallucination.

There are also some people who have done UCP SOLO
who report realistic limited gains in a way that makes me
think they really have made some case gain with it, but I
haven't yet seen a SOLO UCP person who strikes me as
having made it up through death, and ALL those who have
tried both report MUCH BETTER GAINS WITH A WITNESS.

We have numerous examples of people who have done
WITNESSED UCP who describe and display the kinds of
perception changes I expect and recognize as REAL
fundamental, and profound case gain.  Some of us have
clearly come up through death.  Each of us who has
made it that far clearly recognizes each of the others.

Scorpio and Mudrunner report that they kept bouncing
off of Tone Four for a while, but eventually they made it.

I find it interesting that tone 4 should be a major barrier.
Tone -4 is a major barrer too: HALLUCINATION.  Coming
up above -4 is a huge event as they start to see how BAD
things REALLY are.  From -4 to +4 they are dealing with
all the BAD things about their universe or existence that
they can now SEE and start to do something about.

At Tone +4 you have COMMUNICATION, which is
one of the upper harmonics of -4 HALLUCINATION.

At -4 your are being a false asserted identity, and
communicating with false asserted symbols.  At
+4 YOU are communicating, AS WHAT TO WHAT?

You could only really COMMUNICATE who and
what you were to someone who was at that
level and could RECOGNIZE [CHEERFULNESS]
*YOU* and COMMUNICATE with *YOU*.

The inference appears to be that you can only
rise above tone four if you have someone to
rise above with.  Before S&M ever did UCP they
had a stable marriage committed to intimate
communication.  Yes, their various identities were
a problem, but they still had it together pretty well.

With UCP they have discarded their IDENTITIES,
and their personal lives have flourished both in
and out of their marriage, which has blossomed.

Scorpio has told me repeatedly that their life itself
has come to resemble an improvised spontaneous
UCP session, in which neither is sure who is the
Witness and who is the Seeker . . . and they have
also stopped seeing themselves as "Seekers".

    They are not Seeking, THEY *ARE*.

It appears that you can only get above tone 4
as a being by the creation of an above tone 4
*WE* with OTHERS who are at that tone level.
This is a new tentative hypothesis, not a fact.

I think of my discussions with Scorpio, and my tone
level IN our conversation is ALWAYS MUCH HIGHER
than my tone level is in life in general, and I have us
both laughing hilariously at my disasters.  WHY?  I
am finally able to COMMUNICATE with someone who
*KNOWS* what I am talking about, and can *SEE*
the same things from HIS viewpoint, which he is
able to share with me in a way that is N-lightening.

The lesson seems to be that WHAT you are BEING
KEEPS changing as you go up the tone scale [duh!]
and that it does NOT change in the way that you
THOUGHT it would when you IMAGINED what it
MIGHT be like from a LOWER AWARENESS. [DUH!]

Coming above -4 involves seeing part of what you
have been pretending to be so that you can let
go of your IDENTITIES [IN IDENTIFICATION] and
become YOUR SELF, in ASSOCIATION with others,
in ASSOCIATION.  Coming up above tone 4, as your
real and natural self, with others, not as a bunch of
pretense, apparently creates that WE or association.

I'm sure the driving motivation that has kept me at
my keyboard for the last several years, spending
many hours every day writing thousands of posts,
was KNOWING I must get others *DOING* UCP so
I *WILL* have others to communicate sanely with.

The "failure to communicate" is what keeps me below
Tone 4 and gets me very antagonistic towards people
who are so lost in their dub-in they can't duplicate very
simple instuctions, and can't tell the difference between
DOING UCP and THINKING about perhaps doing it maybe.

When someone comes on ACT who has actually DONE
some REAL UCP, and SHOWS the perception changes
I expect, that reflect real gains, my tone level *SOARS*.

As more and more people actually realize that
TALKING ABOUT UCP IS NOT DOING UCP, and
that you have NOTHING REAL to say about UCP
until you have actually DONE UCP, we will have
more and more people DOING UCP and reporting
on their actual experience.  Then the computing
psychotics whining "it will never work" will fade
into the background and I won't even notice them.

When I talk to Scorpio, both of our tone levels SOAR.
We are getting to BE something and DO something
that we simply cannot be or do without the Witness.

At some point, if your LIFE is not the "the session",
you are going to be limited.  The more you can tailor
your life to BE a UCP session, the higher your tone
level will soar.  Ideally, your entire life and everyone
in it would be facilitating your mutual examination of
possibility in the expression of shared actuality NOW.

The creation of a WE at Tone 4 through the
free association and agreement of independent
authentic selves is the upper harmonic of the
psychotic creation of "WE" in borganizations like
$cientology . . . by using EFFORT to crush all the
individuals into the SAME IDENTITY or VALENCE,
by FORCING them all to BE THE SAME SYMBOL.

The Free Assocation of Tone 4 Individuals into whatever
"WEs" they create will be a almost a *NEW* phenomena.
