And I’ve only seen him a

is a symptom of waking up!

As far as I could tell, their

In a way, I’ve been
in session a lot of
the time lately,
while reading
news on line.

I read almost compulsively
trying to view, integrate,
understand my hexternal
world . . . with an eye to
predicting and surviving.

It’s a grim scene all around,
on almost every level. Personal,
local, national, international, global.

I’m IN this mess! It’s affecting me!

I know some people who are doing
better than ever on every level.

Way Cool!

I know some people who are
soaring in consciousness no
matter their physical state.

9:29 I keep looking for an
ideal scene to join up with.
Don’t see it. I see flashes
of brilliance and sanity and
kinship . . . but just flashes.

I’ve been trying to create
my own scene for several
decades, but my land just
disappeared. Not good,
much else is collapsing too.

The only thing I seem to
have some control over
is my own reaction to
the chaos I swim in.

I’d like to be is optimum
response to whatever is

I surely have much to learn
[and do/not-do] there, but
to limit your dreaming and

economic, social, political, etc.

Perhaps the global empire of

I’m working to be one of them.
So far I don’t seem to be doing
such a fantastic job. I’ve come
up just a bit short on a bunch of
VERY important projects. On the
other hand, *I* have come up too!
I am more aware and more able to
deal with what is.

It seems I am most frustrated by
not being able to teach what I know.
I’ve been so lucky to have beem blessed
by such hextraordinary teachers in to
many different fields. I’m my own mind
I’m kind of blissed out by how my world
view is coming together in harmony with
my personal world. I’m thrilled by/with it.

But the clash with the waste, suffering and
torture in the physical world is horrible, and
I’m right in the middle of it . . . with, or more
properly, without my friends. I want to save
as much of the knowledge I have garnered by
passing it on to as many people as possible,
but very few seem interested. I hate to see
the waste. Of course, perhaps that knowledge
will serve me well in future lifetimes. I was
hoping to see it commonly understood by
mankind during my lifetime. I doesn’t look
very likely this lifetime. On the other hand,
lots of VERY UNLIKELY things have happened
to me during my life. It would be SO EASY to
dismiss them as “impossible!” Except that
they DID happen. And I am SO happy for
them now. So I can’t rule out “miracles”
in my future. So how do I get there?

Probably by attending to the now.
I am attracted to some people,
for many different reasons.
I need to build more
connections to them.

I used to have land,
but lacked spiritual
connections to most
of my neighbors. That
was an unstable state.
We lost our land. Shit!

On the other hand, I got
a couple of close friends
who I respect and trust.

Of course, they are homeless
now, but maybe we can help
each other in the future.

10:21 I keep seeing the analogy
of the aether condensing in the
physical universe, and individuals
with close connections coalescing
into social grouping based on trust.

Just as a well-organized chemical
structure such as DNA, driven by
chemically recorded information,
can have profound effects and
increasing consequences in the
physical universe, so a social
structure such as a family,
tribe or civilization can have
compounding effects on
itself and planetary life.

Of course the worst
things happening to
man now . . . are
caused by man.

Perhaps we can get
our own act together
before the threats are
atomic desserts, or the
next ice age. It would be
nice to have some civilization
to preserve when the next
cosmological disaster strikes.

I feel responsible to those who
gathered precious understanding
and bothered to gift it to me. I
want to honor them by passing
it on to those who grasp and
use is for the benefit of a
maximally sentient universe.

I don’t feel that I have been
enormously successful,
especially compared to
my not very modest
ambitions and
fantasies.

On the other hand, many of
the teachers I feel greatly
indebted to probably never
knew they had created a
divine effect on me. I usually
didn’t either, for many years!

I’ve had the satisfaction of seeing a lot
of people really change themsElves.
That’s going to create a ripple effect
for many years. Maybe forever?

That’s a plus.

I am better off and
they are better off.

We’ve struck a few sparks!
New Light in the darkness!

But we haven’t hexactly
kindled a roaring bonfire
of the spinsanities to
warm our culture yet.

10:46 I seem to have
shifted from focus on
my losses and problems
to focus on the goal/s.

I hexpanded my attention
from my personal hexperience
to the context I surf and serve.

10:50 I notice that my last
session had a [so far] lasting
effect. It wasn’t a big jump
but I’m more stable and
more cheerful/optimistic
(believe it or not :-)
than I was before.

At least I have been
more able to DO some
immediate practical things
about my situation. One of
them has been doing formal
sessions, which have given
results so far. The scene
is still frightening, but I’m
more able to both duplicate
it, and work to improve it.

Even with my catastrophic
blunders and errors, I have
still made some progress on
both internal and hexternal
fronts. That’s grounds for
some guarded optimism . . .
based on almost certainly
flawed hexpectations
and predictions.

Maybe these seeds
can only bloom after
the next ice age, or
next solar system.

If that’s the best
I can get, I’ll have
to work with that.

NOW 6:32
Running scared lately.
Lots of bad news on so
many fronts at once.
Economic paralysis and
social isolation personally
in the social context of
much the same. I keep
seeing options disapear
that I was counting on.

Maybe other new ones
are opening up at the
same time, but I don’t
see them yet. I see I
have choice about how
to respond to that, and
I’m trying to improve.

6:37 Maybe it’s just me
but it’s getting harder to
find work, or to stay legal
with insurance and address
and stuff like that. I see the
disasters arriving and staying
on all levels. The Iraqi disaster
IS my disaster. It’s ALL of ours.
It impacts ALL of us. I’m so highly
marginal it affects me critically.
I’m not camping out by the river
yet, but I’m scarily close to it,
and my backups are evaporating.

I was focused on building a community
of people I loved who were improving
their situations. Now I’m isolated and
can contact my mates only rarely.
They must be devastated too, but
we are out of touch. I’m thinking
more about how to survive as me.

6:48 Prediction and Expectation
are all bound up in this. I WANT to
be part of a loving group for living,
but I’ve hardly even seen them. I
have been blessed with immersion
in several stunning hexceptions . . .
temporarily. When I have had it,
I haven’t been able to keep it
together stably. So I have
stunning ideal scenes to
aspire to, and shocking
contrast with what IS.

That’s where I am. 6:58

I haven’t stopped trying to
work it out. I am looking
for solutions and options.
My stats are not good.
Mostly, things are worse.

But then I go back to my
inside world, and they are
not as bad as they were.

I’m still worried, even panicked.
I’m starting to get a perceptual
ball of pressure in my abdomen.
The feeling is “can’t ignore this
much longer!” “It’s gotta pop!”

Whether it’s a boil or a baby,
you KNOW SOMETHING is
going to happen soon.

You might not know what it is,
but you KNOW is will pop soon.
It may be the bubble of illusion
on delusion or confusion, leaving
you with sharper vision of disaster.

Then I go back to All Prediction is
subject to Error, and how much
confidence do I have in what?

[yawn] 7:09 [yawn]

So I don’t really KNOW what will happen.]
But I do know what is happening now.
[yawn] and I don’t like the Predicitions
that keep floating up in my consciousness.
[yawn]

I can’t say everything is worse.
I got a free two week pass at
the racquetball club. I played!
I’m way fat and short on breath,
but it started to come back a bit.
I even beat a thin young jock!
But more important, I confirmed
that I HAVE FIXED the crippling
20-year hip/sacrum injury that
was still hurting bad 5 years
ago when I last played! My
hips didn’t bother me, and
my feet didn’t get sore! My
skeleton is now doing much
better now than it was for
for about forty years. It’s
older, but it better aligned
“Eternal” standing-wave
torture pain is gone!

I’m missing my second
free week because I
don’t have gas to
go to town.

But at least I put
some of the time
in on a session.

I have several weeks
to earn some cash to
meet the new year.
And I’m in better
shape to work
than I was.

Physically, and probably mentally too.

7:24 [brief interruption] I see my
attitude has shifted a bit here.
I feel more like celebrating
what I [still] DO have, than
contemplating what I lost.

I still have web access.
I can still drink in all those
viewpoints from cyberspace.
It may not last, but I’ve lost
it before, and gotten it back.

I think about the Iraqis and
Palestinians weighing the
choice between enduring
the horror, or suicide
bombing as a martyr.

I’m glad that’s
not my choice.

I have many more
options than them!

Let’s see what
I CAN do with
MY options.

NOW 9:11
A bit of vertigo from
my huge shift in my
worldly status. Still
reeling quite a bit
and asking myself
what next? My old
plans are just about
impossible. How to
salvage something
from the mess?

It certainly sombered
me up. On the other
hand I have remained
relatively calm. I have
many ominous thoughts
and hexpectations, but
I’m not dramatizing them
with useless automatic
[re] action. My attention
goes to my compulsion
to Understand so I can
Predict and thus stay
alive and accomplish
my goals. 9:19

I spend many hours online
each day reading news and
analysis, trying to Understand
in order to Predict better.

This seems Very Important.
I don’t have to make myself
do this, I have to tear myself
away. It seems like the most
useful and rational thing to do.

On the other hand, most of the
predictions are rather grim now.
We’re drowning in a sea of lies
and blood, and we’re still headed
down into the depths. The bright
side is more and more people see
at least some of that blood now,
especially if some of it’s theirs.

The metaphor which comes back
is sitting on a 20′ atoll watching
an 80′ wave barrel straight to
you at forty miles and hour:
How do you spend your time?
Saying your prayers?
Hating the travel agent
who booked your tour.
Looking for a life jacket?
Praying for a miracle?
Running to the far side
of the island, to live
another minute?
Looking for a
surfboard
and a map?
Grooving on
the rush?

I’m a bit numb in that area.
I keep finding old plans that
can’t happen as things are.

What to do?

I See that Unknow is
higher than Predict.

I keep trying to predict.
Actually I do predict all or
much of the time . . . it’s
just that I make Errors too.

Prediction is so unreliable
so I try to fine tune it with
more data, more attention,
more detail, more comments
and opions. Intellectually, I
see your Predict can never
be perfect, because you
have so much Unknow.

So you naturally Predict Error.
Now you’re really in a mess!

You’re expecting Error . . .
and discover you’re Right!

That squeaky wheel is
the one I’m spinning!

What’s the solution?
Relax and get over it?

I’ve had many truely
amazing and miraculous
things happen to me,
many of which I didn’t
even recognize and
thus greatly wasted.

A lot of bad shit too.
I’d predict more shit
on the way, but maybe
more holy miracles too!

I’m a bit subdued as one of
my most important options
is gone. On the other hand
I still want to live. I still want
to play. I want to see how it
all turns out, even if it’s really
ghastly. Maybe something
good will happen too.

Whatever happens, I see that
optimizing my response to it
makes it much more tolerable.

It appears I have a lot
more optimizing to do.
